Paid parking signs in Kyiv / 2019

Together with Oleksandr Kolodko, we designed information signs for paid parking in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine.

Parking is paid in many areas of Kyiv, but drivers often found it unclear how much it costs per hour or how to pay. We addressed these issues with a clear and elegant solution.

The signs needed to display a lot of useful information, including an English translation, while remaining easy to read. We achieved this by carefully organizing the content and ensuring the signs were mounted for optimal visibility. Additionally, we included a payment section with a unique QR code, allowing drivers to pay for parking quickly and conveniently using their smartphones.

The project was a major success. Hundreds of these signs were installed in Kyiv’s city center and other districts. Moreover, the design inspired analogous signs in other Ukrainian cities.
