Staying on our own path

Our personal budgeting service, Sintra, is far from ramen profitable. Yet it’s already making some money we can spend beyond the operational costs.

At launch, we thought it would be awesome if our little product could earn the two of us a meetup in Sintra, Portugal. We’d explore the city and work on some features together. We earned it! I really hope one day we can make the trip real.

Or we could afford a lovely illustration from one of my favorite artists instead of generating it with AI.

Our earnings might look laughable to some. Our spending might seem foolish. But it’s such a great feeling that we don’t need to justify it to anyone, and can stay on our own path.
